The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru has a very well-defined bouquet of Morello cherries, wild strawberry and touches of orange pith. It’s a little "contained" at first, though it only requires a few swirls of the glass to reveal real complexity and terroir expression. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins—ripe and rounded so that it seduces with its cashmere texture. Gradually building in the mouth toward quite a deep and complex finish, this reveals a hint of on the aftertaste. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

Chambolle-Musigny Vineyard Fine Wine

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
